WI: Midwest Flight Attendants Candlelight Vigil, July 8, 2008, Milwaukee, WI

On Tuesday, July 8, in downtown Milwaukee flight attendants, pilots, union members, and other allies (including Wisconsin state Rep. Christine Sinicki, whose District 20 includes Mitchell International Airport) attended a candlelight vigil protesting proposed pay cuts for Midwest Airlines flight attendants. Vigil attendees gathered outside the Hyatt hotel where the Association of Flight Attendants -- CWA held the first night of their two day 35th Annual Board of Directors meeting.

As the meeting ended, flight attendants from 18 airlines joined the waiting protestors to march silently to the Midwest Airlines Center several blocks away where camera crews from the local ABC, CBS and NBC affiliates waited.
