@ClearAcross actually you simply dont know what your talking about. Their are two requirments for PTSD; 1) to be in a situation where you truly fear for yout life or well being, 2) to witness an extremely tramautic event. Most of the little troops from battalion will never satisfy both these requirements thus they will not suffer form PTSD. They will just embelish what happens when they get home and play the PTSD card. For those with genuine PTSD my heart goes out to them.
I was on the roto featured in this exact video. TF 3-08 with 2RCR G-Coy, 2 Pl, Bravo Section.
We did plenty.
The perspective you maintain about PTSD is exactly the kind of thing that prevents good men from getting help and driving themselves deeper into a bad state. We had two guys from our roto commit suicide last year (Cpl. James McMullin and Sgt. Martin) due in large part to their inability to get help with their PTSD. Give your head a shake.
Also on a side note. Maybe this respect to the community is why the people there like the Canadians more and the Taliban have a much smaller kill death ratio with Canada.
(taliban with RPG) "Look! A humvee! Ready to fire! Alah machta!
"Wait! Hold your fire!" "Don't shoot that humvee, shoot that one"
"Why?"
"That first humvee is Canada, I know they are the enemy and all, but they are good people, shoot the American pigs humvee"
Yes I know they are trying not to get ambushed. I in fact myself have posted comments on videos telling may people, "they can't spot, someone could shoot them, or set off an IED"
But these Canadians do not let war, and the danger of death, interfere with respecting the community they are in.
@ostapslobodian ive seen that video your talking about. The reason why they were driving like that was because they were trying to get to an ambush that was taking place. You have the wrong views on america
I really like it how the Canadians are a lot more respectful to the people there compared with US.
If this was a US convoy they would have been speeding, driving around cars that are going to slow, not honking the horn when that person was going to cross the street and not trying to maneuver so gracefully around cars in their way.
