He just arrived at my facility and is very hot (in more ways than one)and stressed out, so I just shot a quick look (38 sec) of one of the worlds seldom seen Pit Vipers. They live on just a few mountain top in China and not much is known about them. I was also being cautious because there is no specific Antivenom and did not want to be a medical first in the West

  • i noticed the name, protobothrops, what is the relation, if any, to bothrops atrox?

  • @countryboy8831 'Proto' means first, so one can say (perhaps, without pissing off evolutionary biologists) the Protobothrops are a more primative form of Bothrops line.
