  • Stupid is as stupid does. Bachmann tells you everything you need to know about who the teabaggers are.

My favorite teabagger sign: "NO PUBIC OPTION."

Move on, nothing to see here.

  • I wonder if the Revolutionary War had to be fought today, how many of you would condemn the Founding Fathers or maybe even insult them? I read today that a Afghan War veteran came back to Columbia University and was insulted and heckled because he spoke out to the college people to fight for what you believe in and for the people who have no rights. It's embarassing that soldiers abroad and people here want to represent those who don't have a voice and they are insulted and degraded for it.

  • @Micaiah2004

"Demonrats"? That's pretty good, did Rush write that one for you, or did Reverend Billy-Bob?

  • @hickster1975

The Founders didn't get along... at all. They hurled insults at each other all the time but we tend to forget that part. Invoking them doesn't help your argument.

The treatment of the soldier at Columbia was pretty low, I'll give you that.

Siegfried Sassoon wrote plenty about death in the Great War -having been there.

By that point, memorializing failures fell out of fashion -the British Government became obsessed with covering up their failures. Ted Hughes, as a Poet Laureate, did write about WWI, after the fact, but in the same way that Sassoon did -there was no glory to be found.

  • LOL, It's beautiful but it's not politics!

  • @igregmart the light brigade was britsh genius

  • The Brits won the Crimean war, genious.

  • @allenbyseyes Absolutely. Its funny in many ways that film is incredibly accurate, and it is visually spot on. Its problem comes from the fact that it was created in the 60's and is full to the brim of anti-war sentiment. Its rather silly, the idea that an officer, who would of gone to great expense buying his colours like nolan, would then get there and keep knocking on about the folly of war. Also they never mention the amazing charge of the heavies.

  • @MrExtremerightwing I guess a lot of people get their history from the Tony Richardson movie rather than actually reading.
