he's working out in the gym and that it a piece of commercial equipment from Life Fitness, I believe it's called abs cruncher or stg like that, check it out on their website in the commercial eqt. section

I belvie that going any higher will cause me to use my lower back and hip flexors more. And i can tell you, a set like that burns!
