His pianissimo haunts me and whispers of new dimensions to my fantasies and efforts to listen back in time, in search of what the castrati must have sounded like. Thank you so verymuch for posting; you've definitely made my day(s), and enriched my spirit with new, heavenlynotions, ideas, sounds.

The lingering high notes Wong sings are just magical. Never really got into romantic music written for male sopranos but this is magical. See Berg, Nachtigall.

Ez a dal valami csodálatos! Szívem lelkem melengeti a szép hangok felemelik a kék madárka szép énekét, okoz nagy örömet hallgatóinak. Köszönöm szépen!

This version is too slow. It would have been better if it was sung in less than 3 minutes. The best version is by the Boys Air Choir. You can find it on the list on the right.

one of the most beautiful pieces for choir i ever heard. it's so simple, but lyrics, melody, harmony and above all dynamics make it so incredibly touching... what a peaceful song...

Does Randall Wong still perform/record? He was the first falsettist I ever spoke with before I began my own counter-tenor training. Great piece to share, thanks for posting!!

I have just uploaded the song The Bluebird in which Becky Jane Taylor sings a duet with herself. It is really well arranged and can be found by searching You Tube for Becky Jane Taylor+The Bluebird..
This is when he was in Chanticleer absolutely marvelous!

@geekbaritone I was told by a person who attended a concert when Dr. Wong sang this work that the audience was so stunned upon hearing a male soprano that there were several moments of silence following the ending of the piece before the audience began to applaud.
