A Robyn guitar instrumental off of "Eye"... mostly straightforward to figure out & play (basically G, Em, D, C chords), with a little bit of a tricky part in the middle. Hopefully the video is clear enough for others to figure it out, if so desired.

I think that "Eye" is my favorite Robyn album. It's acoustic, it hangs together very well both musically (hooray for open E chords!) and thematically (not just because it's all strange), and I saw him play it live on tour and was blown away. In fairness, it's probably mostly the latter, because it showed up when I was younger and more impressionable. :) Standard tuning.

  • wow, if not for that middle tricky bit, i'da sworn you were playing the CD with air guitar! nice job

  • thanks very much! ...i actually got this one on the first take and it was close enough that i wasn't going back for another pass to fix the couple of bumps. :) cool username, too, btw.

  • you did a good job. In his recent movie, he says he writes/records spontaenously, so maybe just 1 or 2 takes is the way to go.

  • Thanks! Hey, if you mean the sundance movie "Sex, Food, Death, and Insects", I'm actually in that one...for about 0.2 seconds. I was at his show at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ (didn't say it was a starring role or anything). :)

  • Really impressive cover, dead on.

  • Please tell me you have tabs for this.

  • Awesome. You've inspired me to finally learn this song myself. Eye is such a great album!

  • Fantastic! I am really impressed.

  • I have never seen Robyn play this live, though I did see him at the Bottom Line playing Heartful of Leaves

I've always been upset that he never did an instrumental album!!
