Top set of Strict Military Pressing at Snap Fitness 24-7 in Marlton, NJ. Standing is more efficient than seated because it requires core stability as well as being safer on your lumbar spine (if positioned correctly). If you use momentum from your legs it is a different exercise (Push Press = much easier to push heavier weights over head). Don't use the Push Press if you are following 531 and trying to increase your bench press. I always used strict military pressing to build my shoulder strength. However, because you start the movement from the bottom position with your elbows flexed (opposed to the top position with your elbows extended on a bench press), it really helped me build a ton of strength off my chest at the bottom of a bench press. Also, please take notice of the set-up from start to finish.

  • @MegaDragonHero - Thanks. You should try spacing each 72 hours apart. Bench 1x per week and Standing Military Press 1x per week. You can use db press variations after these main lifts.

  • omg thats strong great work! could you give me some tips on how to increase it because mine seems to lack but i do do it after doin my bench press sets
