the part about ideals is dead on, spot on, completely accurate. brilliant!

@Anbesol84 Don't you have a bong to smoke in mommy's basement? You can sit down there and hate yourself all day long if you want, but the rest of us will not be sniveling and blaming ourselves for other peoples' problems. I know that's all trendy and hippie cool, but my ego is not so enormous that I think the world revolves around me or this country.

@Noodleydoo Lots of good people are rarely seen on television anymore...

What a beautiful pile of hollow rhetoric. Yeah, America is the best because of the famine in Africa, the violence around Israel, and the berlin wall which came down 22 years ago. Lets forget our contributions to those 3 problems. God bless America, yeeehaw!

America is the best country on earth. GOD BLESS AMERICANS

@chapaev36 Absolutely. So why is it we almost never see Thomas on television, but we see Sharpton virtually daily? Even on Fox News? It's frikkin' criminal.

By definition, a hierarchy of people is unaccountable since they just blame the guy below them especially managers.
Second, you seem to have an odd definition of "business decisions", workers ought to control their workplace and in doing so decide who to hire and fire, those are decisions.
Suppose a law made it so people have a right to get on the board of trustees despite not owning any stock, it gives those people a "choice" too but overrides decisions.
-
@AndroidPolitician "Right to work" laws don't take away business decisions from the workers....it GIVES the workers the CHOICE of whether to join a union or not. If the workers felt that the union truly represented them, they are free to join. Mgmt isn't unaccountable, they make decisions that are in the company's interest, unlike the unions that only act in their own interest, drive up the cost of business and kill jobs. To say a company has no rights is to say the govt has no limits.
-
No they don't, people have rights, a company like General Motors does not have freedom of speech nor a right to vote but the CEO etc. does.
They tried to close the original factory which is illegal suppression of a union election to begin with.
Secondly, people are the ones who (or at least should) own and control the business, that's why "right to work" laws are illegitimate, they take away business decisions from the workers and puts them into unaccountable managers.
God, this is brilliant.
