Look at all the people who made it to the inauguration with out government assistance and then look at all the people who couldn't make it out of New Orleans when a hurricane was headed their way. Makes you wonder eh.

the only reason that I kept my sanity was that was listening to a podcast. if not for my iPod, I really would have gone crazy. I mean more crazy than I usually am.

It must suck for those people and miss the inauguration while in that tunnel.

i was a member of the purple ticket tunnel people. it was awful. waited 4 hours in the tunnel. but so worth it in the end.

I hope they have this straightened out for the Palin inaugural in 2012....

nahh i`m a weee bit younger than 62...still sucks for the folks who got a boning.

I spoke to a cop that worked the tent side of the tunnel to try to control the crowd. I hear that because there were so many people that arrived late (no direction to 395 when I got there at 4:20am to the tunnel...I just figured it out cause of being from DC) the gates were impossible to navigate zig-zag metal gates could accomodate 5-6 people accross. Write to the Inaugural Committee. My neighbors that left at 3:00am didn't get in. They took the metro or waited.I'm impatient&don't wait.
