Ingrid Bergman and Spencer Tracy in the 1941 movie "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" - song is "She Couldn't Laugh" by Twarres. Because poor Champagne Ivy really did deserve a better fate!

  • This is my fav fav fav video on YouTube!!!!

  • Aw, thanks, I'm really glad you like it :)!

  • hey this is awesome..I think this film showed Ingrid's real ability in playing both the good girl and bad girl roles, she's versatile! Aww lovely dear!

  • Thanks :D. I agree, that's what I like about this movie; Ingrid playing "the bad girl" and Lana Turner playing "the good girl" for once. Both did an excellent job at it - although naturally I'm partial to Ingrid ;).

  • Just beautiful. I had a vivid dream a few years ago where Ivy finally escaped from Mr Hyde. It stirred the same kinds of feelings that this video does.

  • Great upload tribute! An outstanding film.

  • Too bad Ingrid & Spencer didn't make another film together.

Both actors had excellent chemistry together.

  • @brsunflower Yes and in the days when sex was implied not splashed all over the screen.

  • Who could resist Ingrid Bergman (at her most beautiful) but the epitome of good, Dr Jekyll. As a child the movie scared the crap out of me but at the same time I developed a life long crush on Ingrid Bergman.

  • Ok guys keep in mind that 1. It was only her SECOND film in English (you try portraying a complex character in a new language) 2. It was completely new type of role for her, because for YEARS she had been type casted for all the "good girl" parts and 3. She was slightly distracted with Victor Fleming (Mr. Casanova, no offense Fleming fans)

  • @JuanMacready well THAT was rude, immature and uncalled for for one thing, and you apparently have enough interest in her to find out that she died of cancer

  • The most beautiful woman of any age. Awesome!!

  • @ObamaRules4Ever psh... whatever, try convincing the rest of the world :P
