I think this should have been Duncan himself. It would make it 20x cooler. In Dragon Age origins I got sad when he died :/ i think it would be more impactful to emotion

This trailer still creeps up at me. The details are all over it. See how he drops his scabbard? It means he will never re-seath his sword again, for he will die with it in his hand. The narrator nails the setting perfectly aswell. The whole existence of a Warden is of sacrifice for the world's sake.

In all likelyhood this is a scene of a Grey Warden in his dying years, seeking his death by combat in the Deep Roads.

And he will be of as much use as he can in his final moments.
