The Sound of One Hand Shucking II

The unique shape and sculptural beauty of this product fascinated me, so I tried to figure out how it evolved as a design. Why is the geometry "cupped?" What is the origin of the "ridges?" Why is it symmetrical? The result is my interpretation of the design evolution in animated form. The design is the brain child of Tom Littledeer.
