I made this slideshow using screenshots from the same period video of the band. For all Danny Kirwan fans among my friends. Plus for all those who never heard about this talented and modest young musician who shot across the 'musical sky' like a bright meteor.

This is one of Danny's best blues performances - from the BBC sessions And one of my favourites - Little Walter does a great version too. Great vibrato and spot on melodic riffs.

What a waste - Danny was booted from the band because he wouldn't (couldn't) clean up his act - last I heard of him, he was living in sheltered housing for the addicted in the UK. I s'pose here he'd be homeless!

Anyway - bloody brilliant guitarist. Only saw him once. Loved him since I first heard "Oh Well" - all his albums with the band are must-haves.

Incredible tone that Danny is getting, I wonder if he was using a different amplifier. Outstanding, one of his best cuts I have heard, thank you for making this available, this is a real gift for all of us!
