@AdamsSeed From the beginning, Skeletor only wanted He-Man, he didn't care about the others. And basically (in my opinon), He-Man told Skeletor that he would go with him if his friends weren't harmed. Since Skeletor left his friends on Earth, than He-Man is bound by his word.

Skeletor has got to be the greatest of villains. His sheer power demands loyalty. It is art in how he subdues his enemies with cunning deceit and finess and he wants only to be a god. Anything less is unacceptable to him.
I wonder why he said "Leave them alone. He-Man is my slave. As long as I let them live, he is bound by his word." What does that mean? Was he attempting to manipulate He-Man's character?
