This is what I do in order to blow out my hair.
1. After washing and conditioning, apply a heat protectant. I used Silk Elements and CSI. You really don't need 2..
2. Allow the hair to dry 90%.
3. Holding the hair taught after detangling well and blow until dry section by section. ;)

?? just ask!

  • Is a paddle brush okay aswell?

  • if it has the plastic bristles and does not snag the hair its fine. :)

  • my hair seems to dry extremely fast. How do you straightened your hair with a blow dryer with this technique? also I have 4B hair, will this work in the same manner?

  • This should work for any hair type. And this is as straight as my hair gets with a blow dryer.

  • u fine as hell n nice hair

  • thx babe ;)

  • @blackindie So because your half indian and you have long hair your somehow better? Your only half black? No matter what you do when people look at you they will see a black girl with indian in her mix. And that doesn't make you any better. Especially considering your a conceited person who compares herself to people on the internet. When you let your hair down, don't forget to deflate your ego.

  • FreshInDeath you have wayyyyyyyy to much time on your hands. GET A LIFE!!!!! JERKOFF

  • OMG! This is a GREAT video. I just did a Blow Dry Tutorial and YOUR VIDEO is A BETTER TECHNIQUE - Thanks! I'm gonna try this technique and see if it works for me. It looks like you can retain length better and avoid manipulation. I am a little scarred that holding the heat in one spot while it dries could cause heat damage. Do you dry it on high or med? I use SILK ELEMENTS TOO!

  • hm, easy enough....i shall try this technique! :D

  • Very informative! Thanks!

  • KEWL VIDEO...((((SASSY SWAG SILK HAIR WRAPS ARE THE BOMB)))LOL

    WATCH MY VIDS..GOD BLESS!

  • how did you get your hair to be curly like that in the 2nd picture?

  • good method with the tension but might i recommend a round vented brush. the one your using dose not allow the hot air to flow through the hair it actually will cause heat damage after prolonged use but a vented brush has holes that allow the air to escape on the other side and round brushes provide good tension. there r different bases and pins as well like teflon, no snag, ceramic... I have been natural for 8 years and its the only thing i use to straighten it works great

  • Everything damages your hair:

    Combing

    Brushing

Even running your fingers through it roughly.

I don't understand what people have against blow-drying "natural" hair, as long as it isn't done 400000 times a month. :-P

  • woo! I have natural hair and I was going to start straightening my hair out with the flat iron and wearing it that way again and i'm so glad I came across this because what you said"when you see people ,brushing, brushing, brushing, their doing nothing but damaging their hair" thank you for thatt~!I did not know that but i'm glad I found out before i bought my blow dryer

  • Your hair is just some beautiful

  • @blackindie Yeah, you look bad.
