Hey guys,

So I have been trying to break in the V-cube 6 and it's been spinning very loosely now. I have NOT modified this cube in any way. It's good in a way, but I have noticed it getting a little too loose and popping pieces.

Still, I'd have to say that my black V-Cube 6 spins much better than my white one. I believe this is because they pre-lubed it before shipping it out. I can spin the outer two layers with one finger.

This is a pretty decent solve for me. I'm still working on getting faster with edge pairing. Centers were pretty fast. No LL parity, so cut some time off there.

I know I didn't stay centered on camera, so sorry about that. The chair I was using doesn't slide underneath my desk area. Thanks for watching!

  • ..was there a video edit at about 4:50 ?

  • No video edits, but I did see what you're talking about. That happened in one of my 7x7x7 solve videos also, it looked like the cube flipped quickly or jumped. The video might have been a little corrupted during transfer and conversion. It may also be my super speedy hands going faster than 24fps so the camera can't capture it....not sure :-P

  • im not the one to criticize cuz i can barely solve the 3x3 in a minute but u looked a bit hesitant during the edge pairing and solving it like a 3x3

but thats just my opinion, im not criticizing

  • Yes, you're right. Edge pairing and final solve as a 3x3 require the outer layers to be turned. The V-Cube 6 outer layers are the ones which cause the most pops, so I tend to be a little careful. Still considering doing modification.

  • On my list of recent vids from my subscriptions, You did that and Yu Nakajima did the 7x7x7 in about 30 seconds less

  • Yeah, I won't lie.. Nakaji is a beast. But I am sure he practices like 10x more than I do :-P Dan Cohen solved this cube in 2:26.65. Check out his channel (masterofthebass), he's one of the best in the world.

  • Hey Rob,

do you can tell me how to replace the centers to the correct place after solving the first eight edges?

I would have the problem that after replacing the centers for example the geen cneter is towards the blue center......

    how do you do that?
