  • Yes. When we take the filter out of the original packaging and it comes pre-oiled.

  • The gauze air filter flows better than the paper air filter and the True Flow air filter when clean out of the box. Once the filters get dirty, the True Flow air filter flows better than the paper filter or the gauze filter because it has greater dust holding capacity.

  • why did they cut off at 4:20 and showed the "clean" cloth afterwards? they didnt cut off from the other filters so why from the true flow filters? and also even though its filtering your air intake, it doesnt mean its gonna provide the good amount of flow your engine needs in order to gain power..

  • I dont know why the video was edited differently when showing the True Flow filter results. We have done this demonstration over 1,000 times at various shows including SEMA. The results are consistent. The paper filter does better than the gauze filter and the foam filter does better than the paper filter. If we are in your area or you are in ours, we would be happy to show you the test in person. All three filters flow more air than a standard engine requires.

  • one sided

  • the filter blocks more dirts but restrict less air flow which will cost you more on gas and possibly long term engine damage.

  • This guys a pro at marketing...kindof. Look at 2:44 real quick. Frame by frame here. As soon as he turns on that machines engine, and before he started sprinkling that stuff, the cloth puff thingy was already getting black. Sure, i can't say anything about these products, but that majorly lost them all credibility of this video

  • @Craziguitarman321 you really tore the engine down? & idk why the oil would get dirty. The layers of piston rings attempt to keep oil down. In most cases when a leak occurs it is oil going up into the burning part of the cylinder. Dirt through the intake should have a much worse effect on valves, spark plugs, intake, and the cylinder before contaminating the engine oil. Engine oil gets bad when you rev your car before 180F and scrape off metal fragments.

  • I've been using the same K&N airfilter in my 72 plymouth for 2 years havent had the need to clean it sice its only gotten 15k miles on it in two years but i have noticed more power and yet no engine contamination. very faithful on oil changes so even if dirt gets by new oil solves that problem. I Completely flush the engine each time though. My 02 silverado, bought 6 months ago put 4k miles on it since i bought has K&N and more power and no engine damage.

  • The foam filter test was rigged. The video cut from fan cut off to removing the round white cloth tells the trick. If you look closely, you can see dirt getting on that round filter while going through the foam filter, but when the guy pulls the round one out, there is absolutely no dirt whatsoever! I would have trusted this much more had it been real.

  • you can see dirt accumulating at 4.15- 4.18

    definitely edited...

    will never buy this fraud.

  • In reading the comments, I have to ask myself, "Since so many have disliked the video because it's edited where it gives the appearance of impropriety and is lo-res, not allowing the viewer to see the results well, why hasn't it been remade?" If these tests are done all over, get a hi-def camera, say, 720P, and have 2 versions, one edited (and not where it matters) and an unedited version. And do test against AMSOIL. Their oil filters are renowned, test their air filters too!

  • Some sportfilters give a few extra horsepowers. Seach "Steeda Air Filter Dyno Test - 2006 Mustang GT" for example. It gives the mustang in the test 5,9 hp extra. Probobly depends alot on what car you have.

  • @TeamTrueFlow WAS THE GAUZE FILTER OILED! YES OR NO!
