A goal of an actor is to have as many diverse, yet believable roles as possible truly becoming a wide variety of different characters and Gary Oldman I think is one of the few that personifies this. I almost forget his roles are all performed by the same person which is a compliment to his skill.

Not only is he a top class actor, but also a fucking hottie.
I'm 17 and I don't care if he's 53: I'd totally do him.

Kind of philosophical if you look at it as living your own life...

@edwardwballi The Oscars are a 'joke' only when the actors/films who we WANT to win, don't end up winning. If the actors/films who WE want to win end up winning, then we all say,"Oh yeah, that was well-deserved". The Oscar is the same award that Meryl Streep won for Kramer v/s Kramer & Sophie's Choice, Heath Ledger (RIP) won for The Dark Knight, & Daniel Day-Lewis won for My Left Foot & There Will Be Blood. Will you reduce the status of these actors simply because they won 'joke' awards?

The greatest Actor who ever lived!! Sir Gary you are my inspiration!

He's my favorite actor. He's done such a variety of characters. You have to respect that. He challenges himself.

He should have been given an "Oscar" for his performance in "Bram Stoker's Dracula", but has been ignored by the "the Academy"
He has many more film credits to his accomplishments, but seems to be "abitrariily left out of the most pretigious honours".... I would lile to know "why?"
