Another tribute to this handsome and talented actor who died tragically in 1969 at the age of 42. Having served in the Navy during WW2, he was placed under contract at 20th Century Fox in 1948 and made a variety of films, from romantic comedy to thrillers to westerns, adventures to war dramas. His career faltered in the mid-60s and he found himself working in underappreciated and low-budget projects in America and Europe. Hunter was cast as Captain Christopher Pike in the Star Trek series pilot but was replaced in the series by William Shatner's Captain James T. Kirk. Three times married, the first to actress Barbara Rush, he is best remembered for his portrayal of Jesus in "King Of Kings" (1961). It is believed that Hunter suffered a stroke and later fell at home, and he succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the fall.

So I thought I'd do another tribute to this gorgeous man, inside and out, with April Steven's "Teach Me, Tiger", which seems appropriate, as Jeffrey was extremely popular with audiences, particuarly female audiences. Man, was I born in the wrong decade! Have fun!
