This video is part six of how to design your own subwoofer box using the Subwoofer Design Toolbox software. The video explains how to design a bandpass box.
Follow the same procedure as with a round port, but with the following changes:
For a rectangular port, calculate D=2*squareroot(Width*Height/pi) and use that for diameter in the Port Design Tool.
For a slotted port, the port uses one wall of the enclosure which makes the box think the port is longer than it actually is. Use the rectangular port method, but then shorten it by half the height (smaller port dimension) to compensate.
What if i wanted to use a slotted port instead of a round port for the ported & bandpass enclosures? can you do a vid on how to do that?. Thx
