@trainman4602 I will check it out for sure. On the final cut, someone pointed it out to me earlier this week and I cut a part last night with great results. It will probably be the next video I post. Thanks

I’m a machinist I been doing that work for 45years and this wil be my first attempt at CNC. I plan to make a You Tube on its construction. If you view my video’s you will see what I’m about.
Check out my vide's at trainman4602
BTW To get a smooth finish on aluminum try taking the final cut climb milling. This will smooth out any roughness and burrs.

You ever gonna have a spindle made? there's some nice BT30 CNC routers that would run nice with a spindle servo. I know a lot of people are using that chinese spindle. I know that a BT30 spindle would. There's some plans on the web that would allow you to build one (or get one made for you)

@gbowne1 I'd love to have a BT30 spindle some day. I'm afraid I'd have more money in the spindle than my entire CNC machine. I may start with a Chinese spindle and then work my way up. We'll see.

Thanks for making video’s I make how to video’s as well. I find you video very informative. I’m starting a CNC project I have my ball screws and linear guides. I’m building my machine with a 36”X and a 64”Y with an 8” Z. I’m planning to use motors from Kelinginc Co. They will be 800oz. in I’m a bit confused on the drives some say to use Gecko but I see you use the Chinese drives any thoughts?

@trainman4602 I haven't had any issues with my drivers and I've only heard positive things abou Gecko but have neaver used them personally. I cost wasn't an issue, I'd probably go with Gecko.

@Airship413 I'm using a 1/8 inch single flute carbide endmill....and lots of air to get the chips out of the way
