Lahaina Maui Lei Day

So Samantha was told that Lahaina was not worth the trip to visit while on the island of Maui. "Bah! Humbug" I scolded her, this is a historic whaling town from the 1800's that was a major part of start of commerce in Hawaii and written about by James Michener in his novel Hawaii. As luck would have it, a retired ladys group was selling fresh picked lei's that day for a charity. They meet 2 Thursdays a month, so just my luck getting off the hook and getting Sam a lei which she wanted. I had refused to get one from the hacks at the airport.
