  • There was a typhoon that blew through the DAY we went back to the states from our stint in Okinawa when I was a kid. Dad was sick, really sick. The trip back to the states took 2 days and was surreal and hellish. Now we deal with tornadoes here in Nebraska.

I'm glad there was really no damage and all is well.

  • Wow, that is an amazing story, glad you and your family made it through! Tornadoes are no joke, have you experienced any bad ones?

  • My friends as far south as Kobe had a day off from school! Seems a bit ridicules. ...Then again, I live in Florida....

  • Yeah, it was a bit silly. The day after the storm was much better than the day before, it was a perfect day for school!

  • Your wearing a mountain hardware hat. I sell those, haha.

Anyways, to my main point. I love heavy rain, wind and such and although i think it would have been great to experiance i can guess it is sometimes a real trouble if this kind of weather pops up unexpected.

  • Good eye! I love mountain hardware! Do you have an online store? I may need a few more things.

I too love extreme weather, but for some reason, this one kept waking me up. It is very different here because of how thin the walls are, it's more like being in a tent than a building.

  • It was amazing how nice the weather got right after the storm passed, good ole high pressure areas!

  • Yeah, it was boring without the students!

I'm glad it wasn't too bad where you were, I was worried about the coastal regions.

  • Woke me up at 4am. It was a little crazy. I just went back to bed and woke up at noon to sunshine!

  • students didn't have to go but you did?

I call those the boring days.

It just got really windy here in Kyushuu. Rain but not crazy.
