Released on the 1961 album, "Songs Everybody Knows". Written by and originally recorded by Jenny Lou Carson. In 1944, the song was a country hit for Tex Ritter. In 1949, the song was a pop hit for Al Morgan. Ivory Joe Hunter had an R&B hit with the song during the same year. Among others, the song has been recorded by the Fontane Sisters, Connie Francis, Tab Hunter, Bing Crosby, Roy Acuff, Eddy Arnold, Ann Breen, Carl Butler, Eddy Duchin, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Bill Haley, Wanda Jackson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Locklin, Bob Luman, Loretta Lynn, Al Martino, Jaye P.
