The big day, since his birthday falls in between holidays, people can't go to his party so we do a small celebration on the day itself and a big one on August.
He's pretty much not really aware what a birthday is, but he did master answering his age when asked just the night before. We bought cake, ate ramen/noodles, and ice cream. He's pretty content. We are having a bit of a pinch to go out for his favorite pho noodles, but we will once we get a little more leeway on our budget. And yeah, we bought him a small angry birds' pig, grandma and grandpa bought him a small black and blue bird, he's pretty happy.^_^ He's gonna get his presents from the Philippine side in a few days, I'm sure he's going to be ecstatic then.^_^
