Ray Mears is all hype. Bear and the rest are the real deal, Ray is all anal retentive and overcomplicated. Is it any wonder nobody in the USA has heard of him but Dave and company are known worldwide? It's a no brainer folks, Ray sucks.

Ray has his own outdoor survival school called "woodlore" set up for 25 years by him when he was about 18 yrs old, he has also travelled to many places, to name a few- Australia, America, Canada, Africa, the Sahara desert, all very different environments and regarding him having no personality he is just a very placid person who doesn't take the focus away from the beauty of nature & who knows how if you work alongside nature rather than against it, you will be much more likely to survive.

I find him a little mor trustworthy. Strange i know but Bear always seems to be looking for trouble as opposed to Ray stopping the problem.
