Toraja Land - Watching the Toraja funeral is a unique experience. Though the Torajas, who live in the remote hinterland of Sulawesi, were a converted Christian people their culture is still very much paganistic in nature. The funeral procession you see in this video clearly illustrates this point.

It make me remember my grandmother's funeral. She's not rich, but her funeral was very Graceful by her Community.

The Torajans sure has a very unique and exotic culture. Were they Hinduizied like most other Indonesians? I've also heard that they mass slaughter several water buffaloes and pigs during a funeral, the richer the person, the more animal they kill. Those three men who are acting like "guides of the dead" are kind of creepy and does a very creepy "laugh".
