I wish that all God's Pastors would preach this simple message on a regular basis. I get so tired of hearing messages about "levels of pray" or "how to get closer to God", etc. I want to know Christ crucified - I need to be reminded continually what Jesus did for me.

i was thinking about building a time mechine going back and replacing the bible with some absolutly crazy story.... then i thought about... had i been able to do so.... then i already have. and the current result of my actions are already into play and the story i atempted to to spread was mistranslated and changed to mislead by kings and popes throught time from then til now... my attempt was failed. and so born was the story of christ.

ive made the gospel very easy. its 80% courage and about 20% words. it goes like this:exuse me sir, what happens when you die. if they say go to heaven then ask them if they are a christian. if not ask why. if they say i dont know tell them there is is more evidence for heaven than none at all because when ur dead u cant come back, or can you. some people have come back to life and believe in heaven and hell, then ask them if this is true why arent you living for jesus. simplessss ;-)

@wkrepelin What you're saying is very true in a lot of ways. Yes, we can sometimes be quite short-sighted in their approach to life, but what would have been the point of God putting us in this world if we were to keep our eyes blindly fixed on the world to come? Like I said, it's not always about the present, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it never is. The present can hurt, but God put us here to admire his work and give him praise for all that he's done for us.

@QuarterLifeSoldier It is that attitude that makes christianity and religions like it so dangerous. If this world is just a waiting room for the next then there is no reason to be ecologically conservative, strive for a single global community in which we are all a part, or plan hundreds if not millions of years into the future about how we will propagate through this universe. Yes, it is due to that very form of shortsightedness that we may never "get off this planet alive."
