  • this makes NO sense.

  • I don't agree with what he said.. period. I often find John Piper twists alot of Bible passages to suit his belief and theology of "double destination". It is just not very Biblical..

  • What team is this guy batting for???

  • This is the most disturbing message I've heard. There is suffering because we strayed in the garden and were given free will. It is the universal lesson. God is granting us the experience of choices yeild consequence and through those consequences we are cultivating spiritual growth because out of everything bad, God gives us the gift of a lesson learned in order for us to grow and be better souls.

  • So should I beat up my child so that she knows what suffering is, and then offer my love to her afterward? This preacher is nuts, and you people are deluded if you think a loving God should act that way.

If you were God, would you create billions of people that you KNEW would suffer, knowing that only a handful would actually make it into heaven? Does that sound like "love" to you? I know if I did that, I'd be considered EVIL.

  • @MasterOranda I don't believe there was any such person as JC. And your concept of him is that he was sent (by a weird god) as a human sacrifice. so why are you blaming the jewish religious leaders for the death?

If everything's pre-ordained, nobody need take responsibility for anything!

I find that life is much more rewarding and comprehensible if you take responsibility, and do not lean on a mythical set of events. There is no afterlife - thank goodness!

  • @StrumstickJoe I have to add in fact Jesus opposed religion and it was the religious leaders who killed Jesus.

  • @StrumstickJoe Jesus is not religion.

  • The irony of this video's title is that most of the evil in the world has its roots in religion. Most of the wars are creeds or sects against each other. Genital mutilation is evil; suicide bombing is evil etc. Why don't people just live, and forget about this afterlife nonsense?

  • @StrumstickJoe thats what you think.
