SK Macharia and Peter Kenneth in Gatanga

Central Kenya leaders have sharply criticized tribal political alliances as President Mwai Kibaki's succession battle takes shape. This comes in the wake of the emergence of the now infamous Kikuyu Kalenjin and Kamba alliance. Even though the leaders who spoke at a peace rally in Eldoret yesterday denied claims that they were backing such an alliance, calls are now being made for politicians to be wary of the political costs of the so called tribal alliances. The central Kenya leaders say the 2012 chosen leader must work with all the 42 tribes in the country.

@tupac662 - 5 yrs is a long time to wait. If a leader is good the urgency of NOW is very important. Kenya faces issues that in 5 years time if they are not properly tackled will increase tenfold.

Gatanga is my shags and I have to commend Mr Peter Kenneth as an MP. His progressive politics and accountability are clear for all to see, BUT...He aint ready. Focus on your constituency for another 5yrs.

Electricity, water, security, rubbish collection and other basic serices should be available to each resident of your constituency.

Take your time, and if you play this right, you're guaranteed to go very close in 5 yrs time.
