As a 20 something, there is plenty of music out there, but this album on vinyl was the first thing to real rock me in a long time. When I heard the king will come start to build, it inspired so many things in me. It is a shame that music like this was abandoned all together, but who could ever hope to recreate this? It's perfection.

@darthkrueger Good question :-). The Who Live at Leeds, Zappa's Sheik Yerbouti. Presence or Physical Graffiti (can't make my mind up on that), Solid Air (John Martyn). You know what, though, in a year's time the list will be different but Argus will still be there.

@kapo10wong ...I have to say, the love of my step mom Deb and the family connection I have to all the gifts I recieved was through music and books...Argus ...and The Lord of The Rings ..it all combined together simply made a definite in-press-shun on my soul...

The emotional connection the guitars make is indescribable - only a true fan will know what I'm talking about. This song is especially moving.

When I was 15 or so I knew Ash existed but they weren't "heavy" enough to be on my playlist. Then one day my unhip mother comes in from work and hands me Argus which she'd bought in a charity shop because she liked the cover I think and I said, "Yeah, thanks Mum - whatever" and tossed it aside. And eventually I thought, I may as well play it...and it was like - WTF - this is THE BEST ALBUM EVER MADE and THIRTY-FIVE years later it's still in my top 5 albums, definitely. Sweet.

Still feel Wishbone Ash were so under rated in their day, Argus nearly 40 years old and can still hold its own against anything todays bands can put out. An absolute masterpiece. If i had to pick my top 10 albums of all time Argus would be 9 of them!!
