some really lovely vessels, thanks.........

Hey, I built that Weekender too. I LOVED her. Sailed for three years then had to sell her to pay for my daughter's school tuition. I made my own sails thought. Hardley a day goes buy that I don't wonder where she is. Great job on yours!

That Blue one is sharp. nice builds guys :D

a small wooden boat, gives pure poetry. But not everyone can understand ....
-
@mousepad99 It's better than I was expecting. Not as good as a modern factory built rig, but definitely not scared of a lee shore. I would say that the pointing ability is "acceptable". You can work her to windward without getting angry and impatient, but fibreglass marconi riggers will be passing you eventually.

I've had the Weekender plans for years but had to finish my mahogany runabout first. It is now complete (or as complete as a wood boat ever gets) and the Weekender will be next. Great video. It inspires me to get busy!

What song is this? Very charming

It's called "A wet sheet and a flowing sea", written by Alan Cunningham, apparently a friend of Robert Burns.

I think Stevenson projects was doing some work on their website recently. As far as I know the plans are still available. I just used google to look up "stevenson projects" and I see their website and order page is working, try there. Then join the "backyard yacht builders" club and the guys there will help you with any question you have.
