Great music. But I hate what happens to Morgan Freeman's character.

It is very difficult to watch Morgan in this scene. The director made the choice to contrast the celebration with hatred and, ultimately, death. I enjoy the music, but I really enjoy the power of the scene, the contrast of it.
As they say in film school, contrast is conflict.
