Love it or hate it, here's the Japanese version of my Sonic Next-Gen Movie! See it all from beginning to end in the best order in which the scenes happen in real time (such as it is). In this act, Sonic and Silver's differences are finally settled and they team up in their pursuit of the Egg Carrier III where Elise is, only to arrive too late. But, using Chaos Control, Sonic is sent back to an earlier point in time before the battleship has taken flight; in the meantime, Silver and Blaze return to their own timeline to confront Iblis one last time! Hope you enjoy!

Personal comments: Unlike in the English version, Junichi Kanemaru's "Elise!" is several times more decent. But still, Elise fails at life as a character unlike Big the Cat who's actually a decent character (and that's saying a lot), so she totally deserved Jason Griffith's "Elise!" cry. :P

Also, here's another translator tidbit. I think there may have been yet another mistranslation in the script. I'm talking about Sonic's line in English, "And that, in turn, should change your future, too." But, the line in Japanese is worded differently from that, as seen in the subtitles. Sonic says "Dakara omae mo" which means "So, you too" in reference to Silver and also "ano mirai," meaning "the/that future," in which doesn't exactly tell much of Silver's ownership to the future as the "your future" in the English version states.

Anyway, doesn't my translation sound more correct? If the English line was correct, then why would Silver even bother going back to his own timeline to seal Iblis if Sonic told him that saving Elise will change his future? Not to mention that leaving Elise dead SHOULD OF change the future since she's Iblis' vessel and Iblis most likely died with her... so yeah, what do you guys think? :\

  • Are you talking about you having the PS3 version and asking me about the 360 version or are you asking about if there's a difference between Japanese and English languages?

Either way, it's the same game regardless, "glitches" and all.

  • GRRR..... you coby cat!

    And if so... huh?

  • What happend to your high quality video, it's gone????

  • I wonder how much more appreciated Elise would've been if she stayed dead?

  • I love how Sonic actually sound like he's in emotional pain when he watches the ship explode in the Japanese version.

English version.... Ehh.... Not so much.

  • did you add the subtitles?

  • I luv the way sonic characters can pull out anything from there asses :D

  • I kinda feel bad for the monsters the way you used Silver's Psychokinesis powers to fling them......

  • Pause at 3:30.

That seriously needs a "WHO YOU LOOKIN' AT?!" caption. :P

  • The gameplay and story look very good. I don't know why many people bash thid game! I think it suffers the same fate as Devil May Cry 2. I didn't see any glitches or bugs here nor anywhere else.

  • I don't see how your comment was a bad one, sonic1allways. I was wondering that as well. It must've taken quite a while to record all of the story (minus loading screens, town missions, and result screens), edit them together to form a pretty much flawless transition, translate everything that the seiyu's are saying, and add them in as subtitles. Plus, Tigura did an English version too, which would most likely take less time than the Japanese, but still a good amount of time nonetheless.
