  • jar jar is alive yey see him at 0:25

  • 0:23 OMG Jar Jar Binks is now in Return Of the Jedi, George Lucas what HELL the have you done? wasn't it enough that you made Greedo shoot first?

okay that's enough of my little nerd rant

  • If the entire population is so happy about the regime change, why the fuck didn't ANY of them do anything about it earlier...?

  • @mattdude90 The Naboo part was added in the 2004 DVD release, after Episode I and Episode II had already been released. It's Naboo.

Cloud City, Tatooine, and Coruscant were added in the 1997 Special Edition. The Jedi Temple and the Galactic Senate were added to the Coruscant section in the 2004 DVD release.

None of it was in the original, 1983 theatrical release. All of the planetary celebrations, except for Endor, were added beginning in 1997.

  • Remember this is Return of the Jedi. That probably wasn't meant to be Naboo. Naboo wouldn't have been thought up at that time. It just so happens it looks similar. And anyway, if someone is evil, it doesn't matter where they come from, their death would be praised. Eg Hitler, Saddam Hussein etc.

In the case of Coruscant, the empire has just been all but defeated. So no, probably not.

And Tatooine was still touched by the empire.

  • @Ocelllian2 To answer all your question: Because nothing in the post-Special Edition Star Wars Universe makes any goddamn sense.

  • BS.

Palpatine was Naboo's man. He was their senator - why would they be praising his death?

Tatooine was the middle of nowhere. Why do they give a crap what happens in the rest of the galaxy?

Coruscant was the Empire's stronghold. Seeing the way the Empire took control in ROTS and has only gotten stronger since then, wouldn't any anti-Imperial celebrations be put down by force?

Only the one in Cloud City makes sense.

  • jar jar lives on in this scene

  • @KingOfMadCows Yes it was not shown in the movies because there is not enough time to add small things like that but it has been mentioned in the continous novels of the Star Wars franchise.

  • @Udj808 But none of that was shown in the movies.
