  • I asked someone who regularly recieves The New York Times and they said they've never seen any listings for it on Broadway. You might want to bring that to the attention of your source.

  • When I loaded this video there have been written that it is broadway troupe, I do not want to argue with you.

To me in general all the same was Notre Dame on a broadway whether or not/

  • The original French version is WAY better

  • Nobody can beat Bruno Pelletier. The French version is definitely the best. And the Italian one is great too.

  • um... this show was definetely never on Broadway. It was however, in Vegas, also known as it's demise. Check your facts.

  • He is handsome

  • I posted this whole video! People SEE!

  • Esmeralda doesn't look or sound nearly as good as ANY of the others I've seen. Sorry, but yeah, she looks too old to be playing the part.

  • I have seen this cast performing in NDDP regularly and they were quite good. It is a matter of taste of course but it is not fair to judge them from the Royal variety show where they only had to do a few clips. John Partridge was an outstanding Gringoire, Andrew Playfoot a terrific Clopin and Patti Russo a more than adequate Esmeralda. In fact, John and Andrew were my favourite Gringoire and Clopin respectively, and Patti my second-favourite Esmeralda.

  • Actually, the principal Clopin from September 2000 till January 2001 was Carl Abraham Ellis. The 2000 Royal Variety show in London was in December that year and Andrew Playfoot was the alternate Clopin at that time so probably Carl was not available that day.

  • John Partridge played Gringoire for several months in London and this clip is indeed from the Royal Variety Show. The rest of the principal cast between September 2000-February 2001: Esmeralda=Patti Russo, Frollo= Fred Johanson, Phoebus=Dean Collinson, Clopin=Andrew Playfoot, Fleur=Kate Pinell. Quasi in the RVS is not the regular actor (Ian Pirie) or any alternate/understudy, just someone dressed as Quasi.

  • just bad acting
