It is usually found on lists of worst/cheesiest movie quotes.

"Here's looking at you kid", the scene which that quote is more iconic was when it was said at the end. Also where is "That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age." from Dazed and Confused?

Should've had a couple of quotes from It's a Wonderful Life and Shawshank Redemption, The Untouchables, and Tombstone. "I'm your huckleberry" from Tombstone would've been terrific.

Run Forrest, Run ! ..??!!?

I'd switch "You don't understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, lets face it." with "Here's looking at you, kid"

@shsuman16 Too true about the quotes - it seems like they picked ones that were memorable because of the acting, not the writing itself! Although, I still get goosebumps from both the delivery and the writing of, "I see dead people."
As an aside, just because you personally haven't heard them may mean only that you don't have a broad knowledge of film. No slam, not trying to be mean, just perhaps you're not a crazy movie nerd (a "merd") like most of us who know every film on the list.

Oh, and that the sociopathic character Dr. Lecter is quoted here talking about cannibalizing an INNOCENT person also speaks to the 'Merican character. Now, if this was on a list of best acting moments, then I'd agree. What's so "great" about a serial killer gloating over murdering and slaughtering someone? This should be on 100 greatest acting moments, definitely. Otherwise, we are just TorturePorn Junkies...

"Forrest Cunt" is a travesty, a dumbed-down/watered-down pablum of the original idea, which was the author Winston Groom's. The movie is shite and resonates with the idiot nature of 'Mercans; and not "idiot SAVANT" - we're not smart enough to warrant the last part.
Why does this bug me so? In the book Forrest says, “life is NO box of chocolates” not “life is LIKE a box of chocolates.” If you can't see the difference in this, you are one of the Idiots for whom the flick was made. Enjoy ur coma.
"No, I am your father." - Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith
