today you will learn how to make ps2 backups on you mac without using torrents!

First, you are going to need "stuffit expander" and "toast titanium 10".
(links are in the description)

Second, you have to either put your ps2 game in your dvd drive and read it in
"toast titanium 10" to a .toast file or you can download the game at www.ps2iso.net.
(you need to register... but its free, fast, and worth it)

If you read the file to a .toast file from the ps2 game, then all you have to do is go to toast titanium 10 after it is done reading the game, and burn it to a DVD -R or DVD -R DL at the write speed of either 1x, 2x, or 4x. (the slower you burn it, the better your game will turn out). Only use the DL if the file is too big like "God of War" or "Guitar Hero World Tour". (those games will not fit on a normal DVD -R)

If you downloaded the files from www.ps2iso.net, make sure your "stuffit expander" is updated to the most recent update. Then double-click the file you download that has the "stuffit expander" icon on it (usually the first one), and it should start extracting the files to one ISO file.

After the ISO is done being built, go back to toast titanium 10 and burn it to a DVD -R or DVD -R DL at the write speed of either 1x, 2x, or 4x. (the slower you burn it, the better your game will turn out). Only use the DL if the file is too big like "God of War" or "Guitar Hero World Tour". (those games will not fit on a normal DVD -R)

Then label your dvd and play it using swap magic, a modchip, or any other way or playing backups.

THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!

By the way... you will need a DL burner in order to burn to DVD -R DL and you will also need a DVD -R Burner for your normal ps2 games!!

  • You can use disk utility

  • @R3SISTANCE000 Yeah, i know... this video is really old... i didn't even know most things about a mac back then... i may make an update soon on how to use disk utility.

  • I got the Fat Model of the PS2, I dont have any hacks or anything on it.

So my question is: Is this enough to run the burned game properly without any problems?

Or do i need a Modchip or something like that?

  • @MoodieDuck you don't need a mod chip. but you do need to use a slider that will allow you to pull out the disk tray while its on and the game is running. you will also need Swap Magic. look those up on youtube. I'm sure you get instructional videos.

  • wen i make it a toast image can i use that image for pcsx2 kuz it only reads isos

  • @hatchetman664 no, you will have to convert it to iso. If you are on pc, then you can just use imgburn. (I'm not sure about mac though)... Im sure there is a iso ripping software out there.

  • where i can find ps3 iso game?

  • get on with it

  • @version147 that would be awesome

  • @graffitimike1 it works sometimes. The default disks that ps2 reads are dvd -r disks. So using +r may work, but it will more likely mess up your ps2... but more or less... it will probably work... (but maybe not)
