No renting this bass...it's been in my family since 1981 however, it was brought into Canada in 1945. Don Messer was a famous fiddle player across Canada back in the day and one of his musicians (Freddy McKenna) is the fellow who brought it from Germany. If I'm not mistaking, my dad is the 3rd or 4th owner of that bass who's now passed it on to me. :)
