A video vlog of me speaking about Scottish talk. To note, this is not aimed at English and Americans in general, it's labelled more towards ignorance of certain folk in both those countries that I feel opposed to because they disrespect us Scottish for the unique different way we talk. At the end of the day, people should learn to respect the difference in cultures to the way people talk.

Unfortunately, as an American, I'm quite familiar with the ignorance you're talking about. That's not to say every American is an ignorant idiot, but I will say that they're not hard to find...

@TwitchyGrunt Yeah, I get what you mean, I do love the American people, so I know they are just individuals, there are a lot of nicer people over there, I know that for certain. These certain ignorant fools are just really closed minded.

I have had people from the US South not understand my US Mid-Atlantic accent. Please don't feel badly. Anyone who is rude enough to tell you to speak proper english or use sub-titles is ignorant and not worth your time. I love your Scottish accent! Excellent point about Gaelic too. I love accents myself and thank God we all don't speak the same,,,,,how boring would that be? You are proud of your country and who you are,,,,,thats all you need :)

@delchic1 thanks delchic :) yeah ignorance is something I really should just ignore, although I suppose why I made that video was because it was very common I came across that. You're very right, the world would be boring if we all were the same and spoke the same way, that's what I admire about what's outside the borders of where I live :)

@matthaus015 That's the thing, I agree with you, I can't fathom certain folk that can't understand my near to proper English as you stated. Aye sure, it'd be different if I spoke with more Glaswegian dialect, but that's not always the case. I often find that's a problem for Scots, we get those comments a lot where some may say it to be ignorant.
