If you're not looking for feedback, why did you post the video? For the hell of it? Why didn't you bother to disable comments then? Probably because you DO want people to comment.

You just didn't want a opinion differing yours, or anyone to point out your own jackassery for a) - Staying in a town you find to be miserable, and b) - Believing that corruption only exists in that small town.

Sorry for being harsh. I have too much tied up in Beckley to leave. Don't have a problem with criticism. I just can't figure why Beckley's faithful haven't video responded. All I get from them are are sarcastic comments from accounts with no content. How serious should I take them?

I can totally understand what was meant by the video . I am from a small town near Beckley , some of you may know it , Naoma. I loved growing up in Naoma and it is sad to see what has happened to it . The people and places I loved as a child are no more. It doesn't mean I don't still love it , it only means it is so sad to see it change . Yes, things are bad everywhere, but what touches me most is my own home town , I suppose that is true for us all whether it be Beckley,Naoma, Detroit , etc.

You are lucky to live in Beckley,no town is perfect and even here in Detroit there is a good side.My parents moved from WV when I was 12 to find work in the Auto industry.I"m now a retired auto worker and enjoy a visit when I can.Maybe one of these days you will show another side of Beckley.Good Luck Ron from MI

I lived in Beckley wv. for 27 years and left only because i married a soldier that was transferred to Ft. Benning Ga. Beckley is a fine place to live as i never had any problems with the police or anyone else. I hope to move back there someday. Beckley is not a huge town and that does not make it a bad place to live. There is a lot more crime here in Phenix city Alabama, that is 6 miles from Columbus Ga. than Beckley ever had. If you feel that bad about the area you should leave.

LOL! You forgot to list King Tut (my favorite), the Mall, YMCA, Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Tamarack, the New River Pool with the coal mines, oh yeah do you remember Hills and Montgomery Wards? I got lost in that Mall, long time ago. And you talk about drugs..lol..heck that's in every city. Come to Chattanooga, TN just think you would be busy all day filming here...lol...and it's still a great place to live. I know! Why don't u visit Grandview and remember what's really important in your life.

It will always be home, but I left and I am better for it. On the other hand, there are people who stay, and are better for it. I have watched friends and family move back, and were worse for it. There really are few people who MOVE IN and better themselves. I have friends still there just knockin' it dead, and I have friends wanting me to help them move. There's a place for everyone to call home, and a place for everyone to make a living. Beckley is home. I make my bread in Atlanta.

The only thing depressing about this video is the cheap camera it was filmed with and the music. Beckley is an awesome place to raise a family. Can't imgine every leaving here.
