A time-lapse video of excavation work at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute on selected days in Nov. and Dec. 2009. This video is merely a test in preparation for a new one showing the construction of our new building, which is currently ongoing. Stay tuned for more.
This video was created using free software, including gPhoto2 (for controlling my old Olympus camera), ImageMagick (for processing each frame), FFmpeg and MEncoder (for generating videos), Gimp (for additional image hacking) and Perl (gluing stuff together, including calculation of sunrise/sunset etc) - all running on a GNU/Linux box.
Nice work! What was the exact camera model you used?

@haemse It's an Olympus C-3030Z. The poor thing recently died after several thousand exposures of the building site. Seems like a hot pixel tricks the light meter, making all images very underexposed. I'm currently looking for another camera to subsitute it. Actually, any old camera would do the trick as long as it's able to capture more than 1280x720px..
