@schultzee4748 that was very comman to people who lived near or went to a chatlic school my grandma said that her family spoke french at home and learned to speak eglish so in case they where ever found.

Dans a Carre is the name of the tune. It translates to In the Square. The New Orleans French Quarter is also known as the Vieux Carré, Old Square. The square being Jackson Square.
