In January 1997, pictures of the Princess touring an Angolan minefield in a ballistic helmet and flak jacket were seen worldwide. It was during this campaign that some accused the Princess of meddling in politics and declared her a 'loose cannon.' In August 1997, just days before her death, she visited Bosnia with the Landmine Survivors Network. Her interest in landmines was focused on the injuries they create, often to children, long after a conflict is over.

The British Royal Family is the group of close relatives of the monarch of the United Kingdom. The term is also commonly applied to the same group of people as the relations of the monarch in his or her role as sovereign of any of the other Commonwealth realms, thus sometimes at variance with official national terms for the family. Members of the royal family belong to, either by birth or marriage, the House of Windsor, since 1917, when George V changed the name of the royal house from Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

Although in the United Kingdom there is no strict legal or formal definition of who is or is not a member of the Royal Family, and different lists will include different people, those carrying the style His or Her Majesty (HM), or His or Her Royal Highness (HRH) are always considered members, which usually results in the application of the term to the monarch, the consort of the monarch, the widowed consorts of previous monarchs, the children of the monarch, the male-line grandchildren of the monarch, and the spouses and the widows of a monarch's sons and male-line grandsons.

Members and relatives of the British Royal Family historically represented the monarch in various places throughout the British Empire, sometimes for extended periods as viceroys, or for specific ceremonies or events. Today, they often perform ceremonial and social duties throughout the United Kingdom and abroad on behalf of the UK, but, aside from the monarch, have no constitutional role in the affairs of government. This is the same for the other realms of the Commonwealth though the family there acts on behalf of, is funded by, and represents the sovereign of that particular state, and not the United Kingdom.

Emad El-Din Mohamed Abdel Moneim Fayed (عماد الدين محمد عبد المنعم الفايد in Arabic), known as Dodi Fayed (15 April 1955 - 31 August 1997), was an Egyptian multi-millionaire and film producer. He was best known internationally as the romantic partner of Diana, Princess of Wales, both of whom died in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris along with driver Henri Paul on 31 August 1997.

Aristotle Sokratis Onassis (Greek: Αριστοτέλης Ωνάσης, Aristotelis Onasis; 15 January 1906 -- 15 March 1975), commonly called Ari or Aristo Onassis, was a prominent Greek shipping magnate of the 20th century. Some sources claim he was born in 1900 but that he later changed his date of birth so as to avoid deportation from Turkey.

Mohamed Abdel Moneim Al-Fayed (Arabic: محمد عبد المنعم فايد‎; born 27 January 1933) is an Egyptian businessman. Amongst his business interests are ownership of the English Premiership football team Fulham Football Club, Hôtel Ritz Paris and formerly Harrods Department Store, Knightsbridge.

Fayed has two brothers: Ali and Salah, and a sister Safia. From 1954 to 1956, he married Samira Khashoggi. Since 1985, he has been married to Finnish socialite and former model Heini Wathén, with whom he had four children and three grandchildren. Fayed's oldest son, Dodi, from his first marriage, died in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris along with his companion Diana, Princess of Wales and driver Henri Paul on 31 August 1997.

  • I just can't wait till people actually realize that the Jesuits were Adam Weishaupts worst enemy... His Bavarian illuminati was bent on it's destruction (the black pope conspiracy?) it's just ironic how I've recently went I to Chapters Book Store and found 18 books on the Illuminati, 3 books specifically about the black pope--- BUT NOT ONE BOOK DEBUNKING or REJECTING THEM.. That is the ultimate conspiracy

  • It's just funny how conspiracies conform and morph to fit popular opinion, suspicion, and ideologies... The bulk of illuminati conspiracies can be found in John Robisons book... But it'd interesting to see how some parts have been ditched due to obvious logical contradiction. For instance, in his book he says the chemical theory of OXYGEN was created by the illuminati.. So naturally the conspiracy had to be tweaked.., that's absolutism for ya

  • Yeah, when things are shrouded with unknown variables... People NEED an explanation, it is a biological imperative. Conspiracy theories many times possess facts and literal accounts of things... But then come to outrageous conclusions based upon farfetched connections... The illuminati one is the grandeur of conspiracies.. Read John Robisons book from 1798....

  • @GSW12345 You forgot the Earth is flat and that the Satanic, Catholic, Jehovah Witness reptilian witches control everyone's minds.

  • Mercy, mercy Hitchens! It's not grammatical! Only a vague association of ideas. :-) I love this man.

  • The fax machine! Ugh.

  • too bad they must not have yet gotten the news that mother terressa had died that day

  • @timewilltell7 They did go back to the moon. Six times. Apollo 16 did take pictures of the stars from the Moon.

  • @timewilltell7 It actually says "New Order of the Ages" in Latin, which is pretty obviously a reference to the new America that had been formed. The phrase New World Order is a phrase people like you have hijacked to some extent and marvelously extrapolated that all uses of it refer to your meaning. George Bush was not speaking about Illuminati genocide.

  • @timewilltell7 I don't know why they resigned, maybe you should ask them. I would advise against suggesting it was because it was faked though, the last person who did that got hit pretty hard.
