Black-robed academics reluctantly get in the groove as honorary Doctor of Arts Wynton Marsalis lights up a rainy Northwestern commencement. Accompanied by a member of the NU faculty on sax, Marsalis used his trumpet to play a coda to his keynote speech, which was unfortunately cut off due to threatening weather. Commencement ceremonies took place June 19, 2009 at Northwestern University's Ryan Field, Evanston, Ill.
Because he was disappointed that he didn't get to read the full speech he had prepared Wynton recorded it in a studio and it's available to download (for free) from his website.

I cannot believe this was over 6 months ago. Pretty much the pinnacle of my graduation weekend. Love.
