Less than two years after mocking Sen. John McCain and then President Bush about their ineffective oil drilling answer to lower fuel costs, and three weeks after changing his mind and agreeing to allow off shore drilling, one of the world's most high-tech oil rigs had an explosion where countless safety valves failed to operate properly. Was this an epic coincidence of bad fortune, or a political windfall for President Obama? Coincidence? Maybe, Maybe not!

So this is it? After the obviousness of the fallen twin towers, where the Enron scandal, a fresh new insurance policy, and the obviousness of how the buildings wouldn't fall strait due to the fires, not to mention building seven un touched and followed them down, they think because many got away with that, that this sort is acceptable?
Catastrophe happens again for personal gains and influences, the evidence clearly there, shares sold, environmental exemptions. Coincidence on all of this?

@daddydaze8 Unfortunately, for every state in the Gulf region twenty billion is just a drop in the bucket for all of the lost fishing and tourist industry for these regions. President Obama should have acted much sooner with regards to containment of this spill. He was a Monday morning quarterback when Bush screwed up with responding to Katrina, yet he waited even longer to act on this disaster. He then use this tragedy to push for his cap and tax bill, rather than solving the problem.

Goldman Sachs sold $250 million of BP stock before spill
According to regulatory filings, RawStory.com has found that Goldman Sachs sold 4,680,822 shares of BP in the first quarter of 2010. Goldman's sales were the largest of any firm during that time. Goldman would have pocketed slightly more than $266 million if their holdings were sold at the average price of BP's stock during the quarter.

@Bigbird5553 When does that line expire? This is Obama's baby...his Presidency...he announced he would allow for new drilling. The irony is how all safety measures failed mysteriously...and poof...we may not drill after all!
