Round the World with Dewed - Leg 3

Round the world flying a Boeing 747 in Flight Simulator X.

Leg 3 is Charallave Airport in Venezuela to Johannesburg, South Africa.

Thanks to luisTHC for pointing out that I didn't fly to Caracas in Leg 2...

This journey takes us out of Charallave near Los Teques in Venezuela to Jo'burg international.

For the keen-eyed viewer, yes that is 30 degrees of flap and yes, it's too much for takeoff. I needed the lift to get off the short runway!

Virtual cockpit is the standard 747 one in FSX. Air France paint was downloaded from avsim dot com if I remember correctly. However, from what marcusneipp said below, there is a better one.

I so sorry to disappointment everybody... but every international flight to caracas.. land in maiquetia airport!!!! (svmi) ok...!! not in charallave!!!

Due to a technical glitch (my brain malfunctioned) in Leg 2 of the journey Charallave was the airport the plane ended up at and hence needed to depart from :)

Challenging with a full load...

I'd like to know how do I make the HSI (Horizontal Situation Instrument) active?

And one more question:

- What is the procedure to make an ILS approach?

If that is to have the NAV set and than the APP set, it just didn't work...

Hi,

Search You Tube for "ILS TUTORIAL" for some good videos on how to setup a coupled approach. Some of the tutorials will show you how to use the HSI. Tune a VOR or ILS and it will spring into life ;)

To make an ILS, do I need to be aligned to the run way???

Because once that i've tried the ILS approach, it took me to the ground... just far from the run way!!!

What did i do of wrong?

Was that the time i actived that?

The NAV 1, 2, and ADF were set correctly.

Answer me plz!
