How to set up TouchOSC for Traktor

Get mixing using TouchOSC as a DJ midi controller for Traktor with your iPhone or iPod Touch. This video is a step by step walk-through of how to use TouchOSC Editor to sync the T-OSC layouts to your device, set up OSCulator and import .tsi files to Traktor.

@jogabonito09 hi there - I saw your message via email. It's best to sync to the iPad using iTunes File Sync. You'll find simple instructions on how to do this in the Notes section of the Facebook page. :-)

@touchcontroldj ...and also check that any other .tsi Device files you have in Traktor have their ports set to those devices only (not 'All Ports', or the OSC/MIDI ports) because they will have different MIDI mappings which will conflict with buy files.

Also, you don't need to run OSCulator AND Bridge. Choose one or the other. :-)

@ENRIQUE6064 Hi there - in Controller Manager > Devices, the drop-down Device list displays items in alphabetical order, so it probably says 'Generic Keyboard' or something when you look at it. This is just the default display, your .tsi file should be there in the drop-down. If it is, it is already working.

If you are having connection problems, check the port settings against the screen grabs in the manual that came with the zip you downloaded to make sure they are correct...

@touchcontroldj ... The cheapest would be something like a Griffin iMic, the more expensive something like an NI's Traktor Audio 2... or you could get sound card for each Traktor deck like the Traktor Audio 10.

The other cheat's way to get you mixing in the meantime is to route your master output left channel to your speakers, and the monitor left channel to you headphones, but this wouldn't give you a stereo output on either. The Traktor manual has more detail diagrams on how to set these up.
