Alice In Chains Live in Dallas Texas. This video includes a special guest appearance from Jerry Cantrell's father the Rooster himself. It's always a special treat to see him at the Dallas shows! At a previous show I actually got a chance to talk to him and shake his hand. He's a very nice man, a vietnam vet and as far as I'm concerned Rock n Roll Royalty!

  • I don't know what to make of Jerry and his dad''s half ass shake at the end-LOL

  • @JFCantrell LOL I think it was because he had a pick in his hand.

  • Cantrell's father, Jerry Sr., is a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He is the main subject of this song, Jerry wrote it as a tribute to his father.

  • i just wanna give em all a hug!!!Jerry looks great, good to see he's finally getting a little belly on him-sign of happiness.his dad is awesomegood strong accent, similar to mine.anybody know where jerry is from,i'm sure i could search it but i know someone here knows.

  • Jerry is from Tacoma, Washington. He now lives in Los Angeles California and his family has a ranch in Oklahoma.

  • Dedicated fans are happy to see them alive and kicking. God rest Layne, but I think he'd be glad to see these performances. At least we are.

  • Someone buy that VETERAN a beer!!! Hell yeah!!!!

  • The best vid ever..sweeeet

  • Real Alice fans are excited the band has been back with an amaze g album fir quite some time, yes we all love Lane and miss him but he chose death Alice is not about death they egknoledge the darkness and know its a part of life but don't need to wollow in it, lane made choices that led to him no longer being hear the rest of the guys shouldn't be punished more for it I love AIC!!!!!!

  • @999marydoll THANK YOU!

  • @hoffman845 I totally agree with you...I see people saying "duvall just isn't the same boo hoo hooo awwwww...."well, no he isn't the same! but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a great voice and good stage presence. why are some people so hard to please? Layne Staley is DEAD....AIC is ALIVE....and I'm happy as shit about it! rock on AIC with Duvall or anyone else who joins the band!

  • His dad reminds me so much of my dad, it's uncanny. The way he dresses, gestures, the things he says, he even looks like him. Never woulda pictured that, ha, ha! I have a ton of respect for veterans, it's cool to see the man the song's written about... one of my favorite songs.

  • @Slashownz Besides, he looks cocky and he plays the showman while at least 80% of AIC songs were about totally the opposite. It's like he's making people cheer for him at a kids party. Totally ruins the mood of lots of songs. As for me AIC is still Duvall-less and a tour performer. Great song, cool dad

  • Awesome !

  • Thanks for sharing this. Awesome night and great friends!!
